Beautiful Victorian Sterling Repousse Fold-Up Hand MIrror
I love this absolutely fabulous Victorian sterling silver repousse hand mirror, with its fold-up handle. It was made by the Webster Co., North Attleboro, Mass about 1894 and has its hallmark as well. It has a beautifully-designed crest on the front with the initials "DF" engraved in the center, with all sorts of flowers and leaves surrounding it. The handle is made up of two connected wires that when folded, fit right through the mirror itself which make it very portable. There is a ring on the end, which means that it can be worn around the neck on a chain or carried in a handbag for a quick touch up. The opposite side holds a beautiful beveled mirror and the mirror is about 2 inches round. The whole piece when opened measures almost 5 inches long and is in great antique condition. This unique piece would make a great gift for someone who wants a mirror handy while wearing a great piece of jewelry at the same time.
This special gem has been part of our personal collection and has been stashed away in a trunk for over 30 years (really!). It's now time to take it out and share with everyone, so enjoy!
We now offer lay-a-way, so shop away! This antique would make a one of a kind gift for someone you love.
