Victorian T & V Limoges Hand-Painted Porcelain Match Striker and Box

This is an absolutely incredible hand-painted porcelain match striker and box from the turn of the century marked T & V Limoges France. The inside top of the box has a striker that has been fired right into it. The pansy painting has the most beautiful pastel shades of light purple and yellow, and its soft background has muted light purple tones and green leaves as well. The piece feels like a piece of art, and I haven't seen another one in all the years of being in the antique business. It measures about 4 inches long x 1 1/2 inches tall and is in good antique condition with one tiny chip on the rim of the bottom piece.

This special gem has been part of our personal collection and has been stashed away in a trunk for over 30 years (really!). It's now time to take it out and share with everyone, so enjoy!
