This fabulous Victorian neck piece is a painting of a fashionable Victorian young lady of that time. She looks like one of Jane Austen's wonderful characters, or a Downton Abbey sister living the life of privilege. The antique painting itself, which was done in about 1880, depicts a young girl with a pastel green background who has a beautiful head of hair tied with a blue ribbon. She is framed in a handmade brass oval frame with a fancy openwork piece on top. I've added a new brass 28" box chain that has a decorative lanyard hook. The piece measures 2 ½" long (including the whole frame) x 1 ½" wide.
