This ribbon patterned hand-painted porcelain brooch has a real folk art feel, and is from about 1900-1910. The deep rich blue and yellow color and design combination makes this piece so one of a kind, and measures about 1 3/4 inches long x 1 ½ inches wide. It was a fashion trend in those days for young girls to hand paint their own porcelain jewelry and personalize them and give to their bff's and special people in their lives. This piece is just one in a collection that has been stashed away for more than 30 years in a trunk, believe it or not. It is in great antique condition and has a brass backing and a "C" curve closure, which was typical of much of the jewelry of that period.
This piece is part of our personal collection that has been stashed away for more than 30 years, and we are now ready to share with the world.
Naturally eco-friendly and green, antiques are the ultimate in helping the environment. We have layaway, so shop away.
