This beautiful hand-painted porcelain brooch from about 1880, is a one-of-a-kind piece and has been signed by the artist, V. Flemming. Its all-over gold leaf paint, with striking black checks and dots is a stand out, and the colorful magenta flower in the center with the artist's signature just below, makes this piece such a treasure. It's a fabulous brooch to wear on all your jackets. It was a fashion trend back in those days for young girls to paint their own jewelry and this piece is just one of our collection. It measures 2 inches long x 1 ¾ inches wide and is in great antique condition. The back has a bar pin glued on, which was typical of some jewelry of that period.
Naturally eco-friendly and green, antiques are the ultimate in helping the environment.
This special gem is part of our personal collection that has been stashed away for more than 30 years, and we are now ready to share with the world.
