Late 19th C. Delinieres Limoges Porcelain Compote

Offered for sale is a late 19th century French Delinieres Limoges porcelain compote sold by Leonard Bernardaud. The compote is decorated in a creamy yellow band with a scalloped edge highlighted with raised gilt scrollwork. It is raised on a delicate pedestal base.

R. Delinieres and his partner opened the La Taupiniere porcelain factory in Limoges around 1879. The factory was sold to Leonard Bernardaud, who had worked for Delinieres, in 1900. The compote was probably decorated under Delinieres and later sold by Bernardaud.

The compote is in excellent condition, a lovely elegant piece with a minute amount of age related gilt wear.

Size: 5 ¼" Height by 9" Diameter.
