Historical Dark Blue Staffordshire Clews Plate, Landing of General Lafayette

Offered for sale is an early 19th Century American Historical dark blue Staffordshire James and Ralph Clews plate. The plate depicts the landing of General Lafayette in 1824. Lafayette was a popular subject for the Clews factory and the plate is identifiable through its floral border.

The plate is in good condition with a tight old hairline running across the top portion of the back.
