Early 19th C. French Miniature Watercolor Portrait Of Noblewoman

Presented for sale is a lovely early 19th century miniature watercolor portrait of a young noblewoman hand painted and signed illegibly by the artist. She is painted in full frontal three-quarter pose holding her lorngette in one hand.

The portrait is in good condition with a vertical crack to the plaque on the far right hand side; in the picture there is a slight shadow cast by the convex glass. She is inset in a filigree ormolu frame mounted with a suspension ring.

Size: 4 5/8" Height by 3" Width.
