B.C. Ceramics By Herta Dogwood Contoured Centerpiece

Offered here is a modernist contoured bowl from what was probably the most popular line produced by Herta Gertz for B.C. Ceramics. Once available through major retailers like Eaton's and Birk's, this line was very popular in the 1950's. This wonderful piece is 11" X 10 3/8" and 2 5/8" high. The main body is covered in a flat matte chocolate brown glaze with contrasting high gloss dogwood flowers in white, green and yellow. The base is marked as shown and also incised Vancouver.

It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, fleabites or stains.
