Holdsworth Pottery Ramsbury Satin Matte Green Flower Frog
Offered here is this beautifully formed flower frog from Peter Holdsworth. Holdsworth produced pottery from 1945 to 1964 in Ramsbury, Wiltshire. This is a handmade piece that shows a frog ready to leap. The glaze is a satiny smooth matte green with accent shades of grass green. The frog has 11 holes to hold flowers. This is an earlier piece and would date from 1945-49. The piece still retains original sticker which is a good thing for identification purposes. The glaze and yellow clay could easily lead someone to think that this was made in Ohio without it. Very lovely and quite rare piece of British studio pottery.
There are no chips, cracks or fleabites. There are some pinhole glaze pops.
