Japanese Art Deco Draped Nude Lamp

Offered here is this classic art deco lamp with brass base. The classic semi nude figure is draped in a sheer covering that flows along her body to softly pool at her feet. She's framed by 2 flower form handles that join the body of the lamp, which is a closed lily. The semi bisque glaze is a dark peach with yellow blush and gilt accent. The metal base is decorated in repousse scroll work. The lamp is in working condition. I separated the body from the base and found the mark "Made in Japan". I initially thought this came from Austria. She is quite lovely and the flowing lines are are extremely eye pleasing.

There is overall fine crazing and the third picture shows a white circular glaze skip on the base. The last 2 pictures show the base having a piece cut out of it. I believe that this was done in the 1950's so it could be rewired by an amateur. This was crudely done and this type of lamp originally came with a silk wrapped cord. There is no shade or finial for this lamp. Minor complaints for this beautiful piece.
