B.C. Ceramics Patio Line By Herta Vase

Offered here is this small vase from one of the more innovative lines from BC Ceramics. Made in the late 1950's, this unique line is quite expressionistic in style. This is a named piece, but this line was also known as "cracked shell" due to the ovoid shapes of most pieces. The sgraffito decoration is a textured black with satin matte greens, browns and orange glaze. It measures 3 5/8" high and about 2 7/8" in diameter. The base is marked as shown.

There are no chips, cracks or fleabites. This is in cabinet kept condition.
