Vintage Miniature Vase Lot ~ Medalta, Germany Otagiri
Second piece is this miniature bud vase from Japanese maker Otagiri. The pattern is called blue iris and is decorated with 3 gilt trimmed flowers in shades of blue. The main body is covered in a high gloss black glaze. It measures 3 3/4" high and is marked on the base as shown. There are no chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs.
Third is this wonderful mini pitcher from Zanesville pottery. This would be from the mini-mini line of miniatures as it is only 1 3/4" high. The glaze is a frogskin green that was thinly applied in places. This is unmarked but the glaze and clay color are ZSC. The clay could be called cornmeal as it is a creamy tan color. The very tip of the spout has a tiny glaze flake I've shown as well as a glaze skip as shown.
Next is this mini pitcher or creamer from Medalta. It is a somewhat uncommonly found piece. Ivory glaze with fine peppering. It stands 3 1/4" high and 3 1/4" from spout to handle. The base is marked as shown. There is some fine crazing but no chips, cracks or fleabites.
Lastly is this vertical striped vase from West Germany. Bullet shape is covered in a high gloss glaze of thin yellow with thick black bands. It stands 4 1/8" high. Not sure of maker but this dates to the 1950's. Marked on the base as shown. There is overall fine crazing.
