Brentleigh Ware "Etruscan" Double Handle Floor Vase

Offered here is this quite unusual piece from Howard Pottery. The line this came from was a numbered edition limited to 78 pieces. Large, heavy piece measures 30cm ( 11 3/4" ) high, 24cm ( 9 1/2" ) across the handles and has a rim diameter of 13.5cm ( 5 3/8" ). Uncharacteristic glaze is a mottled silver/blue with silver rim and leaf decoration. Base is ink stamped Made in England and incised Etruscan. Additionally, there are the limited numbers for the series. Hard to read, but it appears that this was numbered in the 50's.

The pictures show that there is paint flaking all over this piece. But there are no chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs.
