Early Pennsylvania Dutch Potteries of Ohio Hand Painted Stein

Offered here is this exceptionally rare decorated stein that dates from the late 1940's. Started in 1947 by Ray Fitzpatrick, Pennsylvania Dutch Potteries was in business for only 8 years. The raised relief design is an excellent representation of German/Dutch decoration. The glaze is a deep hunter green with red, yellow and brown cold painting. There are copper accent bands on the handle as well as the stein. It measures 4 7/8" high and has a 3 5/8" base diameter. The base is marked as shown.

There are 2 pinpoint glaze flakes on the raised leaf decoration as shown in the 5th picture. There is nothing else of note. Very wonderful example from this hard to find manufacturer.
