Czechoslovakian Woodpecker Handled Milk Pitcher ~ 1920's

Offered here is this eye pleasing milk pitcher from Czechoslovakia. The main body is fashioned into a tree trunk that is colored in shades of brown, pink and yellow. The handle is a colorful woodpecker having a bite to eat. Vibrant orange, green, black and white really bring this fellow to life. It appears that this was decorated over the glaze, giving it an over all bisque like finish. It is 5 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" from tip of spout to edge of handle. The only mark is a red ink 17 but this is most definitely from Czechoslovakia.

There are minute losses of paint to the bird's body. Otherwise there are no chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs.
