Vintage Shorter and Son Guardsman Character Jug

Vintage 1960's figural jug by English maker Shorter & Son. Design has a seated guardsman holding a mug in one hand a a rifle in the other. Handpainted under glaze in black, red, gray and tan and covered in a clear gloss glaze. Jug measures 11.5cm ( 4 1/2") high and is marked and impressed as shown.

There are no chips, cracks, fleabites or signs of use. There is overall fine crazing as shown.
