I am pleased to offer this very unusual and rare tumbler caddy. Dating from the late 1930's, this set has everything that decade was famous for in design elements. The caddy is chrome plated and holds 6 drink tumblers. The fired on color bowl is milk glass with a deep hunter green glaze. This bowl was intended to hold ice chips. The handle is an impressive dark green bakelite with caramel veining. The glasses are a wonderful design of California ivy climbing a trellis.
The caddy is about 12 1/2" in diameter and almost 10" high to the top of the handle. The ice bowl is 6" in diameter. All the glasses are over 5" high and have a tapered diameter of 2 1/4" at the base and 2 7/8" at the rim.
The tumblers are in excellent condition with the graphics being bold, crisp and clean. The chrome is bright and shiny with no wear or discoloration. The ice bowl is damage free. The bakelite handle appears to have been shortened. Other than that, this rare find appears to be almost in unused condition.
