J&G Meakin Sunshine Pansy Pattern Bread And Butter Plates

The Sol line was started in 1912 and produced until 1963 by J&G Meakin. This plate design was first registered in 1910 and produced in the 1920's or early 1930's. Very striking pattern has scalloped ridges in the body with colorful floral sprays of pansies. All accenting lines are a delph blue. The earthenware body is ivory with an almost honey glaze.

These plates are 6" in diameter and are marked on the bottom as shown. There are 5 in this set.

These plates are near 90 years old and were used seldomly. There are no chips, cracks or fleabites. There is almost no signs of wear to the flowers or accent trim. There is slight scratching from stacking or light use and one of the plates is crazed.
