The Sol line was started in 1912 and produced until 1963 by J&G Meakin. This bowl was first registered in 1910 and, produced in the 1920's or early 1930's. Very striking pattern has scalloped ridges in the body with colorful floral sprays of pansies. All accenting lines are a gray blue. The earthenware body is ivory with an almost honey glaze.
It measures 8 3/8" in diameter and 2 1/2" high. The base is marked as shown.
This bowl is near 90 years old and probably spent the better part of its life tucked away in a cupboard. There are no chips, cracks or fleabites. There is almost no signs of wear to the flowers or accent trim. The interior is completely bright and shiny but does show signs of use. Very light scratching when held to the light.
