1920s Italian Gold Wash Over Sterling Silver Necklace

The filigree work on this necklace is amazing. The necklace is marked 'Italian'. The Italian jewelers are some the finest in the world and are known for their skill in executing difficult pieces of jewelry. There is no metal mark but the necklace tested as Sterling Silver. There is a gold wash over the Sterling. The gold wash is not a gaudy bright gold but a soft warm gold that has mellowed over time. Overall length of the necklace is 17 1/2 inches. This necklace was made in the 1920s and is in excellent shape except for some loss of the gold wash.
