Victorian Hand Painted Portrait Miniature

This miniature shows a woman in period dress with a large hat edged in pink with a large white feather. The jewelry that the woman is wearing around her neck and on her dress has been painted in 3 dimensions so that the painting of the jewelry can be felt when you run your finger over the miniature. The woman is painted against a dark brown background.

The setting is a Victorian gold over brass setting with a long pin and c-clasp. The miniature measures approximately 2 inches by 1 1/2 inches and is in excellent vintage condition.
