1950's Nubian Princess or Blackamoor Bracelet

Offered for sale:Link style bracelet in gold tone metal decorated with handpainted faces of a Nubian princess or Blackamoor.

This bracelet is a link style bracelet with 5 links and a fold over clasp in gold tone metal. Three of the links have the face of a Blackamoor or Nubian princess done in black with painted eyes and mouth, gold headdress with gold metal turban, earrings and faux pearl. The other 2 links have a marquise shape black molded stone with faux pearls on each side and on the top and bottom. Each link has a gold tone twisted wire frame. In the center of each frame raised above the background is the Blackamoor or Nubian princess head on 3 of the links and the black marquise shape faux stone on the other 2 frames. Each link measures 1 3/4 inches by 1 inch. The bracelet is 7 inches in length.

I have seen similar bracelets on the net except that instead of the gold headdress there is a red headdress and marquise shape faux stones are red not black like mine. The others on the net all seam to be silver color metal while mine is gold. The other sites attribute the unmarked pieces to Selini or Selro. I can not state for certain who made the bracelet I have for sale so you decide if this bracelet is a rare example of an all black Nubian princess with painted mouth and eyes or a copy.

The bracelet is in excellent vintage condition with some of the gold tone on the back of the bracelet worn off.
