Offered for sale: Sterling Silver cuff bracelet with beautiful blue green turquoise with unusual copper matrix and red coral set in a modified shadowbox setting.
This bracelet is for the smaller arm. The inside of the bracelet measures 5 inches without the opening. The opening measures 1 inch giving an over all size of 6.
The turquoise in the bracelet is light aqua green with patches of dark aqua. The matrix is a wonderful copper sparkling matrix. This type of matrix is unusual. I have only seen on 1 or 2 other bracelets with this type matrix. The turquoise cab which is set in a modified shadowbox setting measures 1 3/8 inches by slightly more than 1 inch. Total over all width of the bracelet is 2 inches. The shadowbox is oval in shape with the turquoise bezel set in the center and with a piece of bezel set red coral mounted below the turquoise.
The turquoise is surrounded by twisted wire decoration. There is also a zigzag silver wire on the right side of the turquoise between the twisted wire decoration and the edge. The back ground is japanned and on one side ( the edge opposite the side with the zigzag wire ) there is notched decoration. There are also silver bead decorations.
The bracelet is a 5 wire cuff. The shadowbox setting sets across all 5 wire which below the shoulders are all joined together to form 1 band. The shoulders of the bracelet are applied pieces of silver with a curved line design that compliments the wire band.
The bracelet weights 72 grams and has substantial feel to it. The is no metal mark but the metal tests as Sterling. It is estimated that this bracelet is from the 1960s time frame.
