Sterling Silver Pendant with Turquoise and Carved Red Coral

The pendant is modified shadowbox setting with japanned back ground. Pieces of silver wire curved and curled on the ends define the different sections of the pendant and to outline the outer edge of the pendant.

The heart shape piece of red branch coral is on top right beneath the bale and the 2 silver beads at the top of the necklace. The 2 oval pieces of turquoise are both bezel set. One piece of turquoise is a green turquoise with shiny rust color matrix. The other piece of oval turquoise is a deep aqua color. The 2 pieces of turquoise are set beneath the branch coral on the left and right outer edges of the shadowbox. The carved marquise shape piece of red carved coral is on the bottom of the pendant directly beneath the piece of heart shape coral.

The pendant has not been cleaned. The green tinge you see on the metal is tarnish. The base metal set with the Sterling Silver will tarnish. The pendant has tested as Sterling Silver. The only problem I see with the pendant is in the back. There is a circular section with a shallow hole in the middle. The hose can not be seen from the front side. It looks like at one time the pendant was part of a necklace. Now it is a striking pendant. There are no maker's mark.
