Antique Victorian Gold Book Style Locket. with Onyx Intaglio

When the locket is closed, a special clasp make sure the locket stays closed. The locket is 12k-15k rose gold. There are no marks on the locket, but the metal has been tested. The locket has a shield shape with an onyx intaglio on the front and shield shape piece of onyx on the back. The locket when closed measures 1 1/4 inches without the bale by 7/8 of an inch by 3/8 of an inch.. When the locket is open, there are 3 compartments for pictures. The front and back compartments have glass. The center compartment does not. The intaglio in the front is a young warrior figure. There is twisted wire and applied leaf decoration. The locket hangs from a simple oval style bale. The locket is in excellent vintage condition.
