Victorian Two Tone Gold Over Brass Book Chain Necklace

Victorian book chain necklace so called because the individual links fold over like a closed book where one side of the link has the 'spine' of a book and the other is open like a book. This necklace is done in 2 tone gold over brass. The 'cover' portion of the book links are in rose gold over brass with a star decoration etched on one side and a series of cut out squares as decoration on the other. The 'book' hardware which forms the 'spine' of the book and which connects one link to another link, is yellow gold over brass. The necklace has an old fashion spring ring clasp. The necklace is in excellent vintage condition.
