Navajo Barrette In Sterling Silver , Turquoise and Spiney Oyster

Offered for sale: From the southwest comes this eye catching barrette in Sterling Silver with spiney oyster and green turquoise.

The surface of the barrette measures 2 3/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches. The barrette has repousse work and etched sun ray design decorating the silver. In the center is an oval piece of spiney oyster bezel set with serrated edges and surrounded by twisted wire decoration. Above and below the spiney oyster are 3 bezel set with serrated edges oval pieces of green turquoise.

The barrette is stamped 'Sterling' on the back along with the hallmark 'L. James' which stands for Navajo silversmith Leonard James.

Note:The barrette hardware on the back is not silver.
