Offered for sale: From Mexico comes this flower blossom brooch.
The brooch is marked 'Silver' and 'Mexico' indicating the brooch is from the early 20th century. The brooch depicts a branch from a flower with the blossom represented by pear shape white stone which sits in a silver flower branch. There is also an silver blossom depicted just below the leaves holding the flower blossom. The brooch which has a slight curve to its shape measures 3 inches by 1 1/8 inches.
There is a long pin running top of the blossom to the middle of the stem with an early locking clasp. I have not attempted to polish the brooch since the patina adds an extra dimension to the design of the brooch.
