Petit Black and White Glass Cameo Pendant on Gold Filled Chain

The pendant measures a 1/2 of an inch by 3/8 of an inch. The cameo is bezel set in a open back gold filled setting. The cameo has the head of the woman in white glass on a background of black glass.hanging from a 16 1/2 inch gold filled chain.

The back of the cameo has the mark 'VanDell 12k GF' on the back of the setting. From what I can find out, VanDell is an American company that started marking Sterling , gold plate and gold filled jewelry in 1943. The quality of their jewelry is reported to be excellent. Indeed the cameo is delicate with many details which can be seen under a magnifying glass. The chain is marked on the clasp.
