Sterling Silver and Coral Kachina Pendant with Oversize Bale

Offered for sale: Kachina pendant in Sterling Silver and red branch coral by Navajo Daniel Mike.

The pendant measures 3 inches without the bale. The bale adds an additional 1 1/4 inches to the top to bottom dimension. Maximum width of the pendant is 1 3/4 inches.

The kachina is executed with great detail. The kachina has an elaborate headdress of silver feathers alternating with bezel set red branch coral. The kachina is holding a rattle and a feather with an elaborate shawl draped around the shoulders and a bead necklace. The skirt is decorated with twisted wire decoration on one side and silver beads on the other with a piece of red coral bezel set in the middle of the skirt. The kachina is wearing Native American style wrapped footwear.

The bale is over sized allowing chains allowing chains with 1/2 inch or less to pass smoothly through the bale. The pendant is marked 'Sterling' as well as the name of the silversmith Daniel Mike who created the pendant. The pendant weights 47 grams.
