11" ~Schoenau & Hoffmeister~ 1909 All Original~

She is 11 inches tall, circa the late 19th or early 20th century, has a bisque socket head with brown glass set eyes, and an open mouth with teeth. She also retains her original full, thick curly mohair wig in its original set. Her head is incised "SPBH//1909//10/0//Germany." Her body is joined at the knees, hips and shoulders and made of wood and composition. The head has no chips, cracks, or repairs. The body is in excellent condition with slightly tired stringing. The all original costume is in excellent condition: printed silk apron, red linen skirt, black velvet cummerbund, green glass necklace, fine white blouse with puffy sleeves and a lovely iridescent shawl! Both shoes are original, though one has lost a buckle, knitted long socks, lacey pantaloons with matching lace petticoat.

Schoenau & Hoffmeister dolls have such an interesting quality to them~ the character faces and the fine costumes. She has been lovingly stored way for many years, not even her hair is mussed!
