Glazed Youth Head Bust ~Germany ~
Rare" Goldscheider" quality bust in the form of a young German youth ~ In the Art Deco style or maybe earlier, flowing scarf and windswept blonde curls with lovely dappled glaze. Slight blush to cheeks and eye lids.
This is a beautifully modeled piece that compares favorably with the best of the period. The Red clay base is impressed with 216 and stamped Germany 7741, Standing 6 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide, in lovely pastel colors with only 1 slight flea bite size nick to base. Very slight age related crazing over all.
