Vintage Rooster Pie Bird German Made

Look out Rooster and Pie Bird collectors ! This bird is marked "Germany". Classic pie bird design. Open mouth crowing white rooster, with black painted wings and tail accents. Bright orange comb and wattle. It sits atop a mound of green, simulating grass . Holes are scattered along shaft of vent pipe, which has a screw like feature at the top. It is an old one, not a reproduction. Very light weight considering its size. Nice porcelain body.

The pie bird stands 4.5" high. Rooster is 2.5" including mound. Vent shaft is 7/8" wide. Condition is excellent. No damage to rooster or shaft. Only slight nicks along very bottom edge where it would rest on pie bottom.

This is a very nice pie bird. Because it is a rooster makes it all the more desirable to crossover collectors. Don't let this one get away.
