Dating to the 19th century and in excellent displayable condition. Most likely painted at an old Paris porcelain studio or Limoges, and painted in the Sevres style and very possibly Sevres porcelain as I have found these exact forms in a reference book. They are very likely 18c porcelain since an 18c cache was found and sold, then painted in the 19th century from the earlier porcelains that were found. Very often the quality rivals original productions. These look to feature old Greek mythological tales of sea monsters and nymphs. Extremely fine quality as I hope the photographs show. The bowl measures about 11 5/8'' long, and 9 1/2'' in height with the pitcher. No chips, cracks or repairs. Some minor scratching and the bowl has a slight bow in the bottom that is original to manufacture. Marked on base with an artist palette/paintbrushes and the letter S, also has touche marks on the metal on the spout as shown. A truly fantastic set with fabulous decorations as I hope the photographs show.
