Great deep scarlet red opaline cased wine glass with parcel gilt decorations with an arabic influenced design. Very heavy and solid. Hand made, decorated, and cut. Measures about 6 1/2" tall and 3 5/8" diameter. The base has a tight and small polished pontil mark as photographed. I believe this dates to about c1850. I found a nearly identical example in "Das Bohmisches Glas" referring to this as Theresienthal, but I would have thought it more along the lines of Harrach or even French really. The interior is gilt also, but has been rubbed. Still solid and without any chips, cracks or repairs.
