Overall good condition and about 100 years old. Some pegged construction with fumed quarter sawn oak finish. Rather unusual form....thick and rather square construction. Oilskin seat and back cushions are supple and in good shape. Sits very comfortably. This does have a slight round water stain on one arm rest....maybe a scratch here or there, and a slight crack just under an arm joint, but still solid and hidden. Would probably be best to be picked up as it is very square and heavy, although if anyone wants to arrange shipping via carrier I am more than willing to help although I have never shipped this method. Measures 42 1/4" tall to top of back, 32 3/4" edge of arm to edge of arm, and 36 1/2" depth from wall. The seat is 24" wide and 19" deep. I think this has as much wood as any 3 chairs they sell at today's so called furniture stores(and that doesnt include most of the sawdust and glue examples). I also have another matching chair that was a smoking chair that is a match to this. Shipping for this chair can easily run 400 dollars or more due to its heft and square nature which takes up a lot of space.....if your within the New England/NY/NJ areas I can deliver at some point for about 300 since I travel all these areas somewhat frequently and as long as your not in too big a hurry. Your free to call around and check with some shippers you may use also....I will help any way possible. For now, I enjoy using them....well, they are in our guest room in any case and look great with the Asian theme.
