Antique Peridot and Diamond 5 Stone Victorian Ring, Hallmarked 1890

Peridot always reminds of the glow of early spring, that stippled effect of the landscape before the flowers really begin to bloom, before the greens of spring deepen into summer. A soft and sensual color that is both flattering and sensual. No other stone quite has this color, the joy of a perpetual spring encapsulated in a gem.

Set with contrasting white diamonds in a beautiful hand made 18 karat gold ring, these peridot's provide delicate softness to this wonderful Victorian ring. The ring is fully hallmarked with a makers mark and the codes to show that it was made of 18k gold in Birmingham, England in 1890. The ring is a size 8.75 and could be resized somewhat up or down, it weighs 4.7 grams.

This style of 5 stone ring was quite common in Victorian times and I often come across rings set with a combination of ruby, diamond, sapphire and opal, but it is rare for me to find one set with peridot, so I was quite delighted to come across this beauty!
