Made in Chester, England in 1901, this three stone gypsy ring has a fantastic matte finish, three sparkling old European mine cut diamonds and an amazingly smooth weight and feel.
Warm, rich, heavy 18 karat yellow gold anchors these three bright and lively diamonds which add up to about .25 carats. The hallmarks are the English crown, the shield mark for the city of Chester, the 18 mark for the metal purity and the cursive A for 1901. It is also marked '6W', I'm not certain why. It also has a makers mark, which is an I and a V separated by a small dot. It is a size 5.5 but could easily be re-sized and t weigh 4.1 grams. The band is 7.4 mm wide at the widest point.
This lovely Edwardian era ring would make a superb engagement ring or wedding band. It is in wonderful condition and the details are quite crisp.
