Vintage Edwardian 1 ct Asscher Cut Diamond Ring in Heavy Platinum, French

The diamond measures 5.6 mm across and 5.7 mm long and 3.9 mm deep and weighs just about 1 carat exactly. The stone is simply bezel set and very well protected by the ring. The stone is eye clean, with a 10x jewelers loupe I can see one very small flaw. It is slightly off color, around a I/J. Made in France around 1910-1915, this ring is marked on the outside of the band with the French eagles head mark and a makers mark. The ring weighs 25.9 grams and is currently a size 8, it could be resized with care taken to preserve the marks.

This is a very unusual and truly gorgeous ring. It would make a fabulous and very unusual engagement ring for a man or a woman.
