I admit it, my sentimental side picked out this ring. My more practical side might have passed on it, the diamonds aren't the best, sparkly but included. Hmmm... what can I say? The truth is that I chose this one with my heart. I have a very similar ring myself, you see. It was my mother's and I wanted it from the time I was a little, little girl, I still remember how big it used to look on my little finger. I begged and pleaded until one day I must have worn her down and she gave it to me for my birthday. I think it was my 35, so you see it only took me a little while to get it! I love it so; when I saw this one I instantly though of my long-coveted ring and I just had to have it. It's just oh, so, stylie!
This lovely handcrafted ring just like my mom's features 3 old mine cut diamonds that weight about .4 carats all together. The stones are set in two concentric circles of platinum and the split fluted mount is crafted in 18 karat gold. This ring has a great arts and crafts feel and was probably made in about 1890-1900. I purchased it in Bath and I suspect it is English in origin, although it has no marks. It is a size 5 but could easily be sized up or down.
This would make a fantastic and unusual engagement ring. An antique ring with a contemporary hand made feel.
