This fabulous necklace was made in eastern Europe during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, c.1870. Hand carved silver links hold bezel set fresh water pearl and green garnet doublets, all accented by a hand twisted rope trim and coiled jump rings between each link. The clasp has even been integrated into the design. In excellent condition, this fabulous necklace weighs 39.6 grams, tests as .800 silver and measures 15 and 1/2 inches long. It would make a perfect gift or a very special treat for anyone who loves or collects Austro-Hungarian jewelry or just one of a kind antique works of wearable art!
