This exquisite French Art Deco pin/pendant combination is a once in a lifetime piece of jewelry. A true heirloom to be passed on to generation after generation. Truly the most amazing Diamond Art Deco pin/pendant that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The workmanship and stones are of the highest quality. It is really, truly superb!
Made in France, in the 1910's, it is the epitome of early Art Deco style, and the ultimate in workmanship. Hand made by a master craftsman, it is hand set with 81 gorgeous, high quality Old European Mine cut diamonds which add up to over 7 carats! The quality of these stones is very high, in a lesser piece, they would have used rose cut diamonds, but here they are all full cut old mine cut diamonds, every single one is bright and sparkling. The diamonds are set into a platinum mount which is wrought in stunning detail with perfect cutting and polishing and the most delicate mill graining throughout. At the center is a carat and a quarter mine cut diamond, clean, white and bright, it sends out large flashes of light across the color spectrum. The 80 stones surrounding it vary in size but add up to at least 6 carats. It can be worn as either a pin or a pendant and comes with a 15.5" 18 karat white gold and seed pearl chain. It bears a French mark on the back of the pin stem. This item bears no makers mark, which is typical for the time period, but there is no doubt that this brooch/pendant was made by a very important (most likely Parisian) house.
This really is the créme de la créme of Fine French Art Deco jewelry. It weighs 12.5 grams and while all diamond weights are estimated, it is guaranteed to contain a minimum of 7 carats of diamonds. The pin stem is removable so that the pendant lies flat against the skin.
Truly a one of a kind piece of jewelry, this is an investment quality piece which will only appreciate in value for many generations to come!
