Antique Edwardian Emerald and Diamond Earrings in 18k Gold and Platinum

Gorgeous, glowing, translucent emeralds are set into 18 karat gold bezels and surrounded by twelve old European cut diamonds with an extra one at the top for added sparkle. The emeralds measure 6.5 mm x 5.6 mm and are 2.8 mm deep for an approximate weight of .7 carats each, or 1.4 carats total. There are four .15 carat old Euro cut diamonds around each emerald with another .15 carat stone at the top, and in between each .15 carat stone are two .5-.10 carat smaller diamonds, for a total of approximately 1.25 carats per earring, or 2.5 carats total weight. The diamonds are bezel set in platinum and all the stones have wonderful mille grained mounts. The earrings measure .5 inches across and 1 inch long. They are topped with a secure lever back, platinum on the front with a gold lever which clicks securely into place for added peace of mind. All of the diamonds are quite clean with a 10x power loupe, and they are extremely lively and sparkly. Together they weigh 4.8 grams.

Made around 1905-1910, these Edwardian earrings would be right at home with an empire waist dress and a glass of champagne, but they'll be equally comfortable with flip flops, blue jeans and beer. Highly flattering, these earrings will bring a little bit of Spring to your every day!
