Gorgeous Arts and Crafts Silver and Butterfly Wing Cloak Brooch/Pin c.1900

This gorgeous silver cloak brooch was made in England during the Arts and Crafts period between 1900 and 1910. Elegantly balanced with teardrop ends set with iridescent blue butterfly wing under crystal, this hand made versatile brooch served as both a fashionable accessory as well as a functional closure for a cloak or cape. In excellent condition it weighs 4.7 grams, measures 3 and 1/8th inches long by 5/8ths of an inch wide and tests as sterling silver.
