Spectacular Antique Victorian Bohemian Garnet Brooch Pin

This large Victorian era brooch measures a dramatic 1.75 inches across and weighs 12.4 grams. It was made in about 1880 in either England or Bohemia (now the Czech Republic), certainly the garnets were mined in Bohemia, which is why pieces like this are often referred to as Bohemian Garnet jewelry. It closes securely with a 'C' clasp, all the stones are present and accounted for and all are beautifully hand set. This is a stunning brooch with spectacular fire and liveliness!
