2DIE4-1920’s Ecru Satin Lamp Shade with Lace, French Ribbon Roses, Satin Ribbon & More

You are looking at an absolutely breathtaking ecru satin lamp shade from the 1920's; it has never been used. As you can see, the shade has a slight bell shape to it.

The photos pretty much tell the story, but I'll add a bit to it. The top satin rim has a teensy border of pink edging, with either a mocha or metallic edge (I can't tell). The ruffled lace at the top is 1 3/8" wide; the lace below this, which goes all the way around the shade, is 4 5/8" wide, including the part underneath the lace ruffle. The bottom of the shade has a double row of lace, along with a single row of blush color crepe which has a delicate pink sewn edge. Above this, along the entire shade edge, is a delicate pink satin border, which has been hand sewn onto the shade. There are three sections, each divided by a ¼" wide satin edging.

The front of this shade is magnificent! There are three French silk ribbon rose (two blue, one light pink), two silk rose buds (one pink, one blue), three green silk leaves, three stems below the rose buds, which feature hand embroidered French blue flowers with yellow centers. The workmanship is extraordinary. There is a ¼" wide pink satin ribbon which is attached to the top and cascades down to form an ornate bow, with the ends curled.

The inside is in never used condition.

The only flaw to note, which is extremely minor, is an approximate 5" long portion of the bottom second layer of lace has become undone and hangs down. This could be easily stitched back into place by stitching it to the crepe portion, although it does hold in place by tucking it under the top row of lace.

The approx. measurements are: 11 ¼" long to the edge of the lace, going with the curve of the shade; 6 ¼" diameter at the top & approx. 11 ¾" diameter at the bottom.

Please note this shade will be double boxed to insure safe arrival.
