This 1930's wax wedding/bridal bouquet is absolutely stunning.
The entire bouquet is made of handmade wax buds. Each bud has a thin piece of wire attached to it; it is then individually attached to a thick wire stem, which is wrapped in silky cream thread.
The 3 ¼" long handle is wrapped in silky thread, which is then covered by old cream color paper (like crepe paper); a small amount is missing towards the top of the handle. Originally, the handle was probably wrapped in silk or satin ribbon. There are remnants of the old cream color ribbon above the handle, which is located among the wax buds. You could leave it as is or you may choose to remove or replace it, as it's a bit tattered.
As is the case with antique wax pieces, there are a few missing buds (very few); also, some of the buds could be straightened out a bit. I straightened out most of them, but I'll leave it up to the new owner to complete it.
There is a shimmery coat over some of the wax buds, but many are either missing it entirely or it's coming off. This only adds to the antique look. I would consider the condition very good to excellent.
The overall length, including the handle, is approximately 14"; it is approx. 9" wide at the widest point.
This is truly a rare and wonderful wax bouquet from the 30's, which will look amazing, either displayed or better yet, used for a wedding bouquet.
