Superb 1920's Matyo Hand Embroidered Pink & Burgundy Floral Pillow or Runner

This vintage Matyo hand embroidered oval pillow is so versatile; although it’s meant to be a pillow (there is an opening on the back), it would also look fabulous as a table centerpiece/runner. Please note there isn't a pillow insert.

As mentioned above, the jeweled tone colors are magnificent; done in rich shades of pink & burgundy (a few flowers are lighter burgundy), with a couple small aqua flowers and aqua hand embroidery in some of the larger flowers & some buds. The background and back are done in black sateen/polished cotton. There is a 12” opening on the back to insert a pillow.

The condition is near mint, with only a few loose silky threads to note. There are no stains or odors.

The pillow/runner measures approximately 22” across & 16 ½” down.
