You are looking at a gorgeous velvet & organza cocktail dress, which dates to the 1950's. This dress doesn't appear to have ever been worn.
Please note the color of the organza is most like pic's # 1 & 2.
As you can see, the V neck bodice and long sleeves are done in rich black velvet. There are two darts on each side of the bust area. The bottom of the dress is pleated silk organza and done in black & steel gray with creamy white or light gray stripes. There is a 12" long metal zipper underneath the armpit area, and it works perfectly. The back features two 6" long seams. There are lightweight shoulder pads as well. Each shoulder area features two snaps, which I imagine can be used to hold your bra strap in place.
What really gives this cocktail dress the WOW factor is the huge black velvet bow, which is located on one side & is sewn onto the waist area. The entire piece is approx. 19" long.
The end of the velvet sleeves come to a point; there is a snap on the back.
The entire dress is lined in black taffeta, including the sleeves. The cloth label reads Rosecrest.
The condition is superb; I don't see any flaws to note. The pleats could use a pressing, but that's it.
This petite/small dress measures: 25 ½"" waist (there is no wiggle room); 16" armpit to armpit; 15" from shoulder seam to waist; 40" long, from shoulder seam to bottom of hem.
This is a spectacular vintage cocktail dress which will certainly turn heads when worn.
